Commitment and Movement for Change Organization (CMCO) is a non-government and non-profit humanitarian organization that started its journey in the year 2024 with the aim of empowering marginalized people in various social, educational, agricultural and healthcare fields and is registered with the Ministry of Economy of the Government of Afghanistan under license number (5964), dated 07/02/2024.
The Commitment and Movement for Change Organization (CMCO) is a network of young and experienced professionals who have completed multiple projects during the past two decades with national and international agencies in the fields of Social services, Education, Agriculture and healthcare services across the country.
CMCO considers the fight against illiteracy, reducing economic poverty, empowering farmers and providing healthcare services to reduce maternal and infant mortality in Afghanistan as its main mission. From our past experiences and findings we are committed to provide services to the most vulnerable communities especially women and children in local communities. CMCO provides effective, transparent and fair services to all communities and applies a zero tolerance policy against all types of corruption while implementing programs and projects and considers
itself as an active partner of national and international organizations that fight against all kinds of harassment and sexual abuse across the country.
Based on our previous research and findings, The Commitment and Movement for Change Organization mainly focuses on villages and remote areas where majority of people in these areas are vulnerable and in need for assistance in different fields.
The Commitment and Movement for Change Organization, promotes and generalizes the culture of voluntary activities among the local communities of Afghanistan in order to be able to contribute to the settlement, renovation and reconstruction of their country alongside government institutions. We believe that the support of local institutions and the improvement of the capacity of the members of the People's Councils can empower the rural citizens to be freed from complete dependence on humanitarian aids and to achieve self-sufficiency in the economic, development and social sectors, Consequently, CMCO defines and determines the support of these councils as part of its basic objectives and goals
To foster a developed society across various sectors including social, education, agriculture, economy, and health, ensuring equal rights and prosperity for every citizen within a peaceful environment.
Empowering, marginalized families and social groups, vulnerable, especially women and children, with the aim of achieving their human and basic rights and improving living conditions through the implementation of vital projects in different regions of the country with the intention that they can live in a peaceful society far from bias, disputes and conflicts
Honesty: We work honestly for sustainable and effective cooperation with our partners, and believe that pursuing this principle will lead us to provide effective services to the most vulnerable and marginalized members of the society.
Compassion: We consider compassion as a religious obligation and make efforts to decrease the sufferings caused by natural disasters, war, poverty, illiteracy, and conflicts in the local communities of Afghanistan.
Participation: We consider participation as a key principle in the implementation of all our organizational policies and believe that in the absence of participation; we will not have successful projects, or any achievements. Hence, we will provide this opportunity to the young professionals, regardless of their gender, religion, language and identity, to utilize their talent, ability and expertise for the development, prosperity and modernization of the country.
Transparency: We consider ourselves accountable to the people, the government, funding institutions and supporting authorities with the aim of providing effective services, creating trust and gaining satisfaction.
Social justice: We support the marginalized citizens of Afghanistan and empower them to gain power to demand their legitimate rights.
Empowerment: We believe that human societies can be on the right path only with initiative, creativity and innovations; therefore, in order to achieve this goal, we consider empowering the members of the society as the only way to change the society from the current situation to the desired one.
